The day before the commemoration of International Al-Quds Day , the Voice of Palestine (VOP) cooperate with HMI South Jakarta, Tuesday (2/9) held a public discussion in Wisma Syahida Inn Campus II UIN Jakarta with the theme: The World Without Israel: The World Without Apartheid (racism).

This event begins with the ceremonials and the conferment Humanitarian Award for Supporting Palestinian Rights to the Chairman of the Indonesian Parliamentary, Marzuki Alie for their leadership in supporting the Palestinians. Then proceed with the musical poetry by University of Indonesia teather and VOP documentary film about Israeli racism against Palestinians.

A public discussion featuring two speakers, dr. Jose Rizal from Mer-C and Musa Kazem from VOP which is also a lecturer and a Middle East observers.

The conclusion of this short discussion is necessary to optimism among the Muslim community to continue to fight against the symbols of oppression, which in this century has shown clearly by the Zionist-Israeli regime.

Resistance against Israel is the resistance against racism, apartheid, and colonialism that are the enemy of humanity. According to Jose, if the use of military force is not ready, we can use the power of civil society in the form of campaign or other radical actions conducted a massive and organized.

According to Jose Rizal, Mavi Marmara tragedy is proof that the strength of civil society can be a powerful tool to make Israel lose the support of the world that causes them to lose power and destroyed.

Jose Rizal added, the last Friday of Ramadan which declared as International Al-Quds Day by Imam Khomeini is as part of a global campaign in mobilizing civil society to fight against Israeli zionism.

After public discussion, the event closed with soft launching  a musical album "We Are Palestinians"  that presents the three bands selected from the album and followed by breaking fast together.

Given this kind of activity, VOP invite public participation to strengthen the civil society movement by attending the humanity parade and orations after Friday prayers, dated September 3, 2010 in front of U.S. Embassy  and the UN in Jakarta.

VOP inviting Muslims who live in Jakarta and its surroundings in order to participate in peaceful demonstrations of anti Israeli Zionism, today (Friday, 09/03/2010) in the Monas-Thamrin, precisely at 14:00 to 16:00 WIB. (VOP)
